Applications Solutions Architect

Synopsis:

The solutions architect owns the project; you will define the software architecture for all components across the system. Job Duties:

Your responsibilities:

As a critical link between the business and IT, your broad responsibilities involve:

• After understanding the business need, create and develop the solution architecture
• Manage the technical direction. This may include development of a prototype, defining the logical architecture, working with other technical stake holders, and even high-level coding.
• Create and manage related artifacts and documents; develop and track project estimates.
• Participate in strategic architecture planning.
• Evaluate and potentially recommend new tools.
• Serve as an advisor to project teams during complete project.
• Function as a technical subject matter expert on the project.

Technical environment:

The environment has a lot of components – we don’t expect anyone to be an expert on everything! Some of the key pieces are:

• Java/J2EE
• Oracle, MongoDB, and other databases
• Cloud-based Platform as a Service
• Spring/MVC
• SalesForce

Requirements:

Skills and required experiences:

Clearly, this is a position for a highly accomplished IT development professional. With an emphasis on customer facing, web based systems, you will drive varied projects (along with a small team of other Solutions Architects). Experience with some of these concepts/tools is needed:

• Micro services
• Data architecture, data Integration, and even big data
• Search engine and portal applications
• Event and messaging architectures
• API development
• AWS or Azure

To be successful, this person will demonstrate critical thinking skills, have the ability to quickly master new technologies, and have proven expertise creating models. Experience should include work with omni-channel e-commerce applications, design patterns, event-driven architectures, and messaging architectures.

Salary:

Salary is dependent upon experience.
The target range of base salary is $110,000 – $140,000
